Natural Habitat

Diet & Feeding
Larvae feed on spider webs, wool, hair, silk, and organic debris.
Behavior Patterns
The larva constructs a protective spindle-shaped case from silk, sand, and dust. It can emerge from either end of the case to feed or move. It undergoes complete metamorphosis, eventually pupating inside the case.
Risks & Benefits
They are considered a minor household pest because they can damage natural fibers like clothes or upholstery. They are harmless to humans and pets, and they actually help clean up spider webs indoors.
