Masked hunter (likely nymph)

Dry, sheltered places such as houses, attics, wall voids, basements, and woodpiles; commonly associated with stored materials and buildings.

Predatory: uses a piercing-sucking beak to inject saliva and consume insects, including flies, cockroaches, and bed bugs.

Mostly nocturnal and secretive. Nymphs camouflage themselves by collecting dust and lint; adults are winged and may wander indoors, especially at night.

Beneficial as a predator of household pests. It is not venomous, but can deliver a painful defensive bite if handled; it does not feed on blood or transmit disease.
