Case-bearing clothes moth larva (likely)

Dark, undisturbed indoor areas such as closets, carpets, upholstery, and stored textiles.

Larvae consume keratin-containing materials, including wool, fur, feathers, hair, and lint; adults generally do not feed.

The larva lives inside a portable silk-and-fiber case, extending its head to feed and retreating when disturbed. It pupates within or near the case; adults are small, weak fliers and avoid light.

Not dangerous to people and does not bite, but larvae can damage wool, fur, carpets, and other animal-derived fabrics. It has little notable ecological benefit indoors, though moths are part of natural food webs.
