Bed Bug

Found in human dwellings, typically in cracks and crevices, mattresses, bed frames, and headboards.

Obligate hematophagous, feeding exclusively on the blood of humans and other warm-blooded animals.

Mainly nocturnal; they hide during the day and emerge at night to feed. They undergo incomplete metamorphosis with five nymphal stages.

Risks include itchy bites and allergic reactions; they are a significant pest of homes and hotels but do not transmit diseases.
