Behavior Patterns

Microscopic arachnids that burrow into the skin to lay eggs (Scabies) or live within follicles (Demodex). Scabies cause intense nocturnal itching as they tunnel through the upper layer of the skin.

Risks & Benefits

Risks include severe skin irritation, rashes, secondary bacterial infections from scratching, and high contagiousness between humans. There are no known ecological benefits for these parasites.
