Cave Cricket (or Camel Cricket / Spider Cricket)

Dark, damp, and cool places such as caves, under logs, stones, or in damp basements, crawlspaces, and garages.

Omnivorous and scavenger; feeds on fabric, paper, fungi, decaying organic matter, and occasionally other insects.

Nocturnal, wingless, and does not chirp. Known for jumping aggressively and high when startled, often toward perceived threats.

Harmless to humans as they do not bite or carry diseases, but can become a nuisance household pest in damp areas and may chew on certain fabrics or paper goods.
