Adults feed on flower nectar through a long proboscis; larvae (caterpillars) feed on various grasses and legumes.

Known for a rapid, darting flight style. They often rest with their forewings and hindwings held at different angles and are active during the day (diurnal).

Harmless to humans; they benefit the ecosystem as important pollinators and provide a food source for birds and spiders.
