Case-bearing clothes moth larva (likely)

Dark, undisturbed indoor areas such as closets, carpets, upholstery, and stored textiles. Larvae often remain inside portable silk-and-fiber cases.

Larvae feed on keratin-containing materials, including wool, fur, feathers, hair, and lint. Adults do not damage fabrics and mainly reproduce.

The larva carries a spindle-shaped case and retreats into it when disturbed; it may pupate within the case. Adults are small, pale moths that usually avoid light.

Not dangerous to people and does not bite or sting. Larvae can damage natural-fiber clothing, carpets, and taxidermy; they have little meaningful ecological benefit indoors.
