Brown Marmorated Stink Bug

Agricultural land, orchards, gardens, and residential areas; often found indoors during colder months seeking warmth.

Polyphagous herbivore; feeds on a wide variety of plants including fruits (apples, peaches, berries), vegetables, and ornamental plants.

Known for seeking shelter in man-made structures to overwinter. When threatened or crushed, they release a pungent, foul-smelling chemical from scent glands as a defense mechanism.

Economic pest that causes significant damage to crops. While harmless to humans (no biting or stinging), they are considered a major nuisance and can cause allergic reactions in some individuals when mass aggregations occur indoors.
