Oriental cockroach (likely)

Damp, cool, dark locations such as basements, drains, crawl spaces, sewers, and areas around leaking pipes. They may enter buildings from outdoors or plumbing systems.

An opportunistic scavenger that eats decaying organic matter, food scraps, starches, grease, and other household debris.

Mostly nocturnal, flightless, and prefers moist environments; it commonly hides in cracks during the day. Females produce egg cases (oothecae), and populations develop more slowly than many indoor cockroaches.

Can contaminate food and surfaces and mechanically spread bacteria, fungi, and allergens that may worsen asthma. It provides limited ecological benefit as a decomposer and prey for predators.
