Braconid Wasp

Found worldwide in gardens, forests, and agricultural fields where host insects are present.

Adults feed on nectar and pollen; larvae are parasitic and feed internally on host insects such as caterpillars.

Females lay eggs inside or on the bodies of host insects. The larvae develop inside the host and eventually emerge to spin silken cocoons.

Benign to humans with virtually no risk of stinging pests. Highly beneficial as natural biological control agents that regulate agricultural pest populations.
