Found indoors in dry, dusty areas like warehouses, basements, and attics, as well as outdoors in gardens.

Carnivorous; feeds on small arthropods like bed bugs, lace bugs, earwigs, and woodlice.

Nymphs cover themselves with dust, lint, and debris for camouflage; they are primarily nocturnal and undergo incomplete metamorphosis.

Beneficial as a natural pest control for bed bugs; however, they can deliver a painful bite to humans if handled, though they do not transmit diseases.
