Cellar Spider

Damp, dark places such as cellars, basements, caves, and corners of rooms near ceilings or baseboards.

Insects and other spiders; they are known to invade the webs of other spiders to eat them.

They build irregular, messy webs. When threatened, they vibrate rapidly in their web, making themselves a blur to predators.

Harmless to humans; their fangs are generally unable to penetrate human skin. They are beneficial as they eat pests like flies, moths, and mosquitoes.
