Green Stink Bug

Found in gardens, orchards, woodlands, and crop fields throughout North America.

Herbivorous; feeds on a wide variety of plant juices from developing seeds, fruits, and foliage of trees and crops.

Known for emitting a foul-smelling liquid from scent glands when disturbed; undergoes incomplete metamorphosis (egg, nymph, adult).

Considered a minor to moderate agricultural pest as their feeding can damage fruits and seeds; harmless to humans but can be a nuisance if they enter homes.
