Oriental cockroach (likely)

Damp, cool areas such as basements, drains, crawl spaces, sewers, and ground-level buildings. It may enter homes through cracks, pipes, or beneath doors.

An omnivorous scavenger that consumes food scraps, starches, decaying organic matter, and garbage.

Mostly nocturnal, flightless, and commonly found in moist hiding places; it runs rather than flies. Females produce egg cases, and development from nymph to adult generally takes several months to over a year.

Can mechanically spread bacteria, contaminate food, and contribute to allergen exposure, though it does not usually bite. It provides limited ecological value as decomposer prey for other animals.
