Soldier Beetle

Commonly found in gardens, meadows, and areas with high floral diversity or dense vegetation.

Adults feed on nectar, pollen, and small aphids; larvae are soil-dwelling predators of small insects and snails.

Diurnal insects often seen on flowers during late spring and summer. They undergo complete metamorphosis including egg, larval, pupal, and adult stages.

Beneficial to ecosystems as pollinators and natural pest control for aphids; they represent no risk to humans as they do not bite or sting.
