Bed Bug

Indoor environments, particularly in cracks and crevices of mattresses, bed frames, furniture, and baseboards near sleeping areas.

Hematophagous (feeds exclusively on the blood of humans and other warm-blooded animals)

Nocturnal and elusive, hiding during the day and emerging at night to feed. They are attracted to warmth and carbon dioxide.

Risks include itchy bites, allergic reactions, secondary skin infections from scratching, and significant psychological stress or sleep disturbance. They provide no known ecological benefit to humans.
