Drain Fly

Found in sewage systems, bathrooms, kitchens, and other areas with moist organic matter.

Adults consume liquid carbohydrates while larvae feed on the organic slime and bacteria in drains.

They are weak fliers and often crawl on walls; they are nocturnal and attracted to light.

Rarely carry diseases to humans but can be a nuisance and signal plumbing issues; larvae help break down organic waste.
