Active year-round in humid indoor conditions; they do not fly and are known for their 'jerky' movement when disturbed.

Generally harmless to humans and pets as they do not bite or transmit disease; however, they can be a nuisance and may damage starchy materials like old books or contaminate dry pantry goods.
