Size: 1 - 2 millimeters in length.

Damp, warm areas with high humidity, often found in pantries, libraries, or under wallpaper.

Scavenges on microscopic mold, fungi, starches, and organic debris.

Photophobic and fast-moving; they do not fly and tend to congregate where moisture is present.

Harmless to humans and pets as they do not bite or sting, but can be a nuisance and may damage starchy materials like book glue.
