Bed Bug

Found worldwide, primarily in human dwellings within cracks, crevices, and soft furniture like mattresses and bed frames.

Obligate hematophages; they feed exclusively on the blood of warm-blooded animals, primarily humans.

Nocturnal and elusive. They are attracted to carbon dioxide and body heat. Their life cycle includes five nymphal stages, each requiring a blood meal to molt.

Risks include itchy allergic reactions to bites, sleep deprivation, and psychological stress. While not known to transmit diseases, they are persistent indoor pests. No ecological benefits to humans.
