Adults are capable of flight and are attracted to light. They are most active at night. Their life cycle from egg to adult takes approximately 7 to 12 months depending on temperature and food quality.
Risks & Benefits
Significant pest of stored products; they can contaminate food with excrement and shed skins. While they do not bite humans or transmit diseases, they cause economic loss and food waste.
