Plaster Casebearer (or Household Casebearer)

Indoors on walls, floors, and in closets, especially in humid or tropical climates

Larvae feed on natural fibers, wool, hair, lint, dead insects, and spider webs

The larva constructs a portable, flattened, spindle-shaped case out of silk, sand, and debris, inside which it lives and feeds, dragging the case along walls and surfaces.

Harmless to humans and pets; can cause minor damage to natural fabrics, clothing, and household materials.
