Natural Habitat

Behavior Patterns
The larva builds a 'trash packet' on its back made of the carcasses of its prey and other debris to camouflage itself from predators. They are highly active hunters.
Risks & Benefits
Highly beneficial as biological pest control for gardens. While not medically significant, they can give a harmless but startling pinch to human skin if handled.
