Natural Habitat

Found in gardens, crops, and various vegetation where aphids are present.

Predatory; feeds primarily on aphids, mites, scale insects, and other soft-bodied pests.

Behavior Patterns

The larva builds a 'trash packet' on its back made of the carcasses of its prey and other debris to camouflage itself from predators. They are highly active hunters.
