Hidden in mattress seams, bed frames, furniture, and cracks near sleeping areas; transported between sites in luggage and belongings.

Blood-feeding parasite; mainly feeds on humans, usually at night.

Hides in groups and emerges to feed while hosts are resting. The pictured skin marks alone cannot confirm a bed bug bite or infestation.

Bites can cause itchy welts or allergic reactions, but bed bugs are not known to transmit disease. They provide no meaningful benefit to people.
