Ladybug (Ladybird Beetle)

Found in various habitats including gardens, fields, forests, and occasionally inside homes during winter.

Primarily carnivorous, feeding on soft-bodied insects like aphids, scale insects, and mites; some species eat plant mildew or pollen.

Active during daylight hours in warmer months. They overwinter in large aggregations under bark, leaf litter, or inside buildings.

Generally harmless to humans and extremely beneficial as a natural biological control agent against agricultural and garden pests.
