Bed Bug

Found indoors, typically in cracks and crevices of beds, mattresses, box springs, furniture, and baseboards in human dwellings.

Hematophagous; feeds exclusively on the blood of humans and other warm-blooded animals.

Nocturnal pests that hide during the day and emerge at night to feed. They are wingless, cannot jump, but crawl quickly.

Risks include itchy bites, allergic reactions, secondary skin infections from scratching, and significant psychological stress or sleep disruption. They provide no known benefit to humans or ecosystems.
