Acrobat Ant

Nests in dead wood, hollow stems, or under rocks; often found in damp or rotting wood indoors.

Omnivorous, feeding on sweets and proteins, including honeydew from aphids and scale insects.

Characterized by raising the abdomen over the thorax when disturbed; they are active foragers and move in single-file trails.

Generally beneficial as predators of other pests, but can be a nuisance indoors and may bite if handled, though the bite is minor.
