Household Casebearer / Plaster Bagworm

Humid, tropical or subtropical indoor environments, particularly on walls and under furniture.

Larvae feed on spider webs, wool, human hair, fur, and natural fibers.

The larva constructs a silken case covered in dust and debris, dragging it along as it feeds. It can emerge from either end of the case to crawl or eat.

Harmless to humans but considered a household pest as they can damage natural fiber fabrics and tapestries.
