Bed Bug

Indoor environments, typically in cracks and crevices of mattresses, bed frames, furniture, and baseboards near sleeping areas.

Blood of humans and other warm-blooded animals, feeding via a piercing-sucking mouthpart.

Nocturnal and highly secretive, hiding during the day and emerging at night to feed. They go through incomplete metamorphosis with multiple nymph stages requiring a blood meal to molt.

Risks include itchy bites, allergic reactions, secondary skin infections from scratching, and psychological distress from infestations. They offer no known benefits to humans.
