Booklouse

Found indoors in damp, humid areas, libraries, pantries, and among moldy stored products.

Feeds on microscopic molds, fungi, starch, paste, and book bindings.

Active runners that cannot fly; often reproduce via parthenogenesis in indoor environments.

Harmless to humans and pets, does not bite or transmit disease, but large numbers can be a nuisance and indicate high humidity.
