Junk bug (Green lacewing larva)

Voracious predator of aphids, mites, scale insects, and thrips.

The larva carries a 'trash' pile on its back made of debris and dried remains of its prey as camouflage against predators like ants and birds.

Highly beneficial for natural pest control in gardens; may very rarely nip human skin if handled, causing minor irritation, but is otherwise harmless.
