Unidentified small beetle (possibly a carpet beetle)

Carpet beetles commonly occur indoors near wool, feathers, stored fabrics, and other animal-based materials.

Adults often feed on pollen; larvae consume wool, feathers, fur, dead insects, and similar materials.

Adults may wander toward windows or lights. Larvae develop in dark, undisturbed areas and can shed bristly skins.

Larvae can damage natural-fiber textiles; they do not bite people. The photo is too indistinct for a reliable identification.
