Longhorned Beetle

Found in forests, woodlands, and urban areas around dead, dying, or stressed trees.

Larvae are wood-borers that feed on the internal tissues of trees; adults may feed on nectar, pollen, fruit, or leaves.

Many are nocturnal and attracted to artificial lights; they are known for their extremely long antennae and wood-boring life cycle.

Generally harmless to humans but can be serious pests to timber and live trees; ecologically important as decomposers of wood.
