The larva builds a flattened, spindle-shaped case from silk and environmental debris (sand, lint, etc.) which it carries while feeding; it can emerge from either end of the case
Risks & Benefits
Mostly a nuisance; can occasionally cause minor damage to wool clothing or natural fiber rugs, but is generally harmless to humans
