House Centipede

Typically found indoors in damp, cool areas like basements, bathrooms, and closets, as well as outdoors under rocks and logs.

Carnivorous; feeds on spiders, bed bugs, termites, cockroaches, silverfish, ants, and other household arthropods.

Nocturnal and highly active; they use their long legs to move quickly. They are solitary and hunt for prey at night.

Generally harmless to humans. They are beneficial as they control populations of other pest insects in the home. They rarely bite, and if they do, it is usually no worse than a mild bee sting.
