Brown Marmorated Stink Bug

Agricultural fields, orchards, gardens, and urban structures where they seek shelter during winter.

Herbivorous; feeds on the sap of a wide variety of fruits, vegetables, and ornamental plants using its piercing-sucking mouthparts.

Active during warmer months feeding and mating. In autumn, they aggregate in large numbers on structures to overwinter as adults, releasing a pungent defensive odor when disturbed.

Major agricultural pest causing severe damage to crops and fruit orchards. They are a household nuisance when they invade homes in the autumn, but they do not bite humans or transmit diseases.
