Field cricket (likely a house or field cricket)

Lawns, gardens, fields, and areas around buildings, usually in sheltered cracks, vegetation, or shallow burrows.

Omnivorous; feeds on plant material, seeds, fungi, decaying organic matter, and small insects or carrion.

Mostly nocturnal and attracted to lights; males produce chirping calls by rubbing their wings together. They hide in crevices by day and undergo incomplete metamorphosis.
