Silverfish (likely firebrat)

Warm, humid indoor areas such as kitchens, bathrooms, wall voids, and spaces near heaters or ovens.

Scavenges carbohydrates and polysaccharides, including crumbs, starches, paper, glue, fabrics, and dead insects.

Nocturnal, fast-running, and wingless; it hides in cracks during daylight. It develops gradually through molts, with young resembling adults, and can survive for years.

Harmless to people and does not transmit disease, bite, or sting. It may damage paper, wallpaper, books, and stored materials; its presence often indicates warmth, moisture, or food residue.
