Pharaoh Ant

Found indoors in heated buildings, hospitals, apartments, and commercial kitchens, nesting in warm, humid, and hidden locations such as wall voids and behind baseboards.

Omnivorous, feeding on a wide variety of foods including sweets, proteins, grease, dead insects, and pet food.

Forms large colonies with multiple queens and often practices budding, where part of the colony splits off to form a new nest when disturbed or when food sources change.

Acts as a major household and commercial pest that can contaminate food and spread harmful pathogens in sensitive environments like hospitals.
