Bed Bug

Found indoors, typically in cracks and crevices of mattresses, box springs, bed frames, furniture, and baseboards.

Hematophagous (feeds exclusively on the blood of humans and other warm-blooded animals)

Nocturnal and highly secretive, hiding in dark, tight spaces during the day and emerging at night to feed. They go through incomplete metamorphosis.

Risks: Bites cause itchy, red welts, psychological stress, and severe infestations can be difficult and costly to eradicate. Benefits: None known regarding human habitation.
