Bed Bug

Primarily found in human dwellings, living in cracks and crevices, bed frames, mattresses, and furniture.

Obligate blood-feeders, primarily consuming human blood but may also feed on other mammals or birds.

Nocturnal parasites that hide during the day and emerge at night to feed. They undergo incomplete metamorphosis (egg, nymph, adult).

Bites cause itchy red welts and potential allergic reactions; they do not transmit diseases but cause significant psychological distress and financial cost.
