Jumping spider (likely a zebra jumping spider)

Common around buildings, windows, walls, fences, and sunny outdoor surfaces across much of the Northern Hemisphere.

Predatory; it actively hunts flies, mosquitoes, moths, and other small arthropods rather than using a capture web.

Diurnal, with excellent vision and characteristic short jumps. It stalks prey, anchors itself with silk draglines, and may build a silken retreat for resting, molting, or overwintering.

Generally harmless to people; bites are rare and usually minor. It benefits homes and gardens by consuming nuisance insects.
