Case-bearing clothes moth larva (likely)

Dark, undisturbed indoor areas such as closets, carpets, upholstery, and stored textiles.

Larvae consume keratin-containing materials, especially wool, fur, feathers, and occasionally hair or natural-fiber fabrics. Adults do not feed on textiles.

The larva lives inside a camouflaged case, extending its head to feed while carrying the case as it moves. It avoids light; adults are small, pale moths and do not cause fabric damage.

Harmless to people and pets, but larvae can damage clothing, carpets, and upholstery. They contribute little ecological benefit indoors, though moths are prey for other animals.
