Builds flat, sheet-like funnel webs to catch prey, remaining hidden in the narrow end until vibrations alert it to strike. Males actively wander during late summer and autumn searching for mates.

Benefits the ecosystem by providing natural pest control around homes. They are harmless to humans; bites are extremely rare, mild, and non-venomous to humans.
