Silverfish (or Firebrat)

Dark, humid areas such as basements, bathrooms, kitchens, attics, and around plumbing fixtures.

Carbohydrates and starches, including book bindings, wallpaper paste, paper, sugar, carpet, clothing, and dead insects.

Nocturnal, fast-moving insect that avoids light. Known for its distinct silvery-grey, fish-like movement and long antennae and tail filaments.

Harmless to humans and pets as they do not bite or spread disease; however, they can cause minor domestic damage to paper goods, fabrics, and dry foods.
