Plaster Bagworm (Household Casebearer)

Indoor environments, particularly on walls, under furniture, or in closets where dust and spider webs accumulate.

Larvae feed on spider webs, wool, hair, silk, and dead insects.

The larva constructs a protective silk case flattened like a pumpkin seed and drags it along as it moves. They typically climb walls to pupate near ceiling lines.

Generally harmless to humans but can be a nuisance pest; potential for minor damage to woolen fabrics or silk and can create unsightly debris on walls.
