In and around houses, particularly on walls in humid climates

Larvae feed on spider webs and natural fibers like wool or silk

The larva builds a flattened, spindle-shaped case from silk and debris; it can turn inside the case to feed from either end.

Harmless to humans but can be a minor nuisance pest by damaging fabrics or spider webs
