Bed Bug

Found worldwide in human dwellings, typically nesting in mattress seams, bed frames, and furniture crevices.

Obligate hematophagous, meaning they feed exclusively on the blood of warm-blooded animals, primarily humans.

Mainly nocturnal insects that emerge from hiding spots at night to feed. They undergo incomplete metamorphosis (egg, nymph, adult).

No benefits to humans. Risks include itchy bites, allergic reactions, psychological distress, and insomnia. They are not known to transmit diseases.
