Behavior Patterns
Nymphs secrete a sticky substance over their bodies that catches dust, lint, and sand particles, creating a camouflage covering ('junk') to hide from predators and stalk prey undetected. They move slowly when carrying debris.
Risks & Benefits
Benefits: Acts as natural pest control by preying on household pests like bed bugs. Risks: Does not transmit diseases or feed on human blood, but if handled roughly or stepped on, it can inflict a painful bite similar to a bee sting.
